Staffback has launched Hireway.com, a free social network job posting tool. This new tool allows employers to post jobs to Hireway which syndicates them to over 15 social networks automatically!
Hireway
Social Network Job Posting… Free… Forever.™
Staffback recently linked all Staffback client talent portals with the LinkUp.com job board, without any additional cost because basic linkage is free. The process was very easy, so if you have a talent portal (i.e. job listing or careers page on your corporate website) Staffback highly recommends connecting your talent portal with LinkUp. Let us know if you want an introduction to a VP at LinkUp. If you do not have a talent portal, give us a call as a talent portal and an applicant tracking system are included, without additional charge, in Staffback’s flat hourly rate.
Without getting into confidential details, Staffback recently completed managing the hiring process for a Staff Attorney for one of our larger clients. Salary.com placed the position in a general range of $150,000 – 250,000 for total first year compensation. A legal recruiter would generally charge 20-40%. Taking the mid-points of both general ranges brings a recruiter’s fees to $60,000. Staffback filled the position for a little over $2,700… which includes all advertising expenses.
Case closed.
Staffback’s Founder and CEO, Ken Winters, will be hosting another free one hour webinar through CPELink on Monday, November 9th at 11:00 AM (Pacific) on the topic of “Tips for Reducing Your Hiring Liability.”
Eligible participants are able to earn 1 CPE credit for attending this free webinar. Past attendees have commented:
“Thanks to both Ken and CPE Link for offering this webinar! Great/appropriate material… Could have gone on for another hour.”
“GREAT informative session – thanks!”
“I picked up some very useful bits of information which made the hour well worth my time.”
“Mr. Winters is an outstanding professional possessing extraordinary presentation skills. I wish I had the course years ago. Thank you!”
Staffback has built a system to syndicate our clients’ jobs to 15 social networks, it’s a free service/technology included in Staffback’s flat hourly rate. It begged the question “why not offer this for free to everyone?” This lead to the creation of Hireway a new free job board that is now in beta testing. Hireway will allow employers and recruiters to post a job for free and it will then be syndicated out to 15 (soon to be 16) social networks.
Note: these social network channels are disconnected during beta testing to prevent the syndication of test data.
Hireway is intended to be an alternative to companies that do not have a social network job posting strategy developed yet and/or a way to gain traction on hard-to-fill positions as our job post tracking metrics (mentioned at the top of this newsletter) consistently demonstrate 100-200+ job clicks/views within the 30 minutes after a job is syndicated out to the social networks.
As a free offering, Hireway has a humble marketing budget so we’ll be asking the readers of our newsletter to let some people know about this new free service when beta testing is complete in December. Your contacts are going to need to know as some of them are paying $.99 per “tweet” just to post on Twitter alone!
Staffback is one of the earliest adopters of TalentSpring’s new resume aggregator technology. TalentSpring is a resume aggregator service which allows Staffback to source and view resumes from all sources (e.g. Monster, CareerBuilder, Yahoo!Hotjobs, etc.) in one centralized database, all ranked relevant to each other. Ken Winters, CEO of Staffback, has high praise for TalentSpring:
“TalentSpring is an innovative new technology that provides exactly the type of economies of scale Staffback clients expect as part of our cost effective hiring solution. We are pleased to be in a long term agreement with TalentSpring and are committed to providing this value added service to Staffback clients without any increase in our flat hourly rates. The new economy demands using technology to make process improvements without increasing overhead, and TalentSpring has been one of our key advances in 2009.”
Staffback has been piloting a job post tracking system since the end of July and is now rolling out tracking metrics for all clients in November. Metrics include job views, apply clicks, cost-per-click, etc. for all major job boards. This new service is included, without additional charge, in Staffback’s flat hourly rate.
As the Staffback.com sign went up on the new office building today, it caused me to reflect on the phone call that started it all. In late 2004, at my previous employment, an engineer we paid $15,000 to relocate from the East Coast to the Bay Area called to inform us he was resigning after just nine months on the job. He stated during the call that he wouldn’t be returning to work as he found another job in the Bay Area. While that’s bad enough, the catalyst is that my employer paid a recruiting agency nearly $40,000 for that engineer. Management eventually discovered that a different recruiter, but the same agency, poached that engineer from us. It lead me on a quest to find a better way, leading to the birth of Staffback…
Staffback incorporated in 2005 and slowly started growing into a virtual business with a home office and a few virtual workers. The recession sparked our growth. Companies had laid off and were no longer able to afford internal HR staff much less exorbitant recruiter fees. As they began looking for cost effective hiring solutions to assist with their spot hiring, they discovered Staffback. Staffback’s model removes the conflicts of interest and ethical challenges inherent in contingency recruiting. The model is simple, a full service hiring solution, operating remotely for $80.00-125.00 per hour. A typical hire takes about 20-30 hours, so about $2,000-3,000 per hire including ad posting expenses… and a no poaching guarantee.
